What We Are Doing to Meet and Exceed Safety Guidelines for Our Trainers and Clients
We realize the hesitation many are feeling to get back into the gym. We also, just like you, have families whom we are in constant contact with and want to stay healthy while getting back to our daily routines. As a family-owned business we empathize with the question of, “How safe is it to go to the gym?” which is why we have taken top measures to keep both trainers and clients safe during these times.
What the regulations say: Keep your distance.
What B5 is doing about it: We adhere to maintaining a 6 foot distance at all times policy in the gym. Lucky for us, having a 3000 square foot facility makes keeping a distance easy. In addition, we only allow a max of 5 trainers per hour in the facility.
What the regulations say: Wear a mask or face covering.
What B5 is doing about it: Gloves and masks/face shields are required by all who enter the facility. These items are there to protect the trainer and his/her client. In order to keep our system working at the safest capacity.
What the regulations say: Wash your hands.
What B5 is doing about it: We require all who enter the facility to immediately wash their hands prior to putting on clean gloves (provided by B5). This limits the potential for outdoor germs entering the facility.
What the regulations say: Prioritize air flow.
What B5 is doing about it: We have installed a medical grade HEPA air filtration system that cleans the air every 30 minutes. With its dual air intake and 3 stage filters it can purify the air twice as effectively to eliminate 99.9% of particles from basic allergens such as pollen, dust, and mold to highly contagious viruses and even anthrax. As we are also located on the ground floor we continuously open the doors (one located at each end of the facility) to offer well circulated fresh air.
What the regulations say: Disinfect all surfaces with a COVID approved cleaning solution.
What B5 is doing about it: In addition to wiping down all equipment in between use we disinfect the entire facility with a portable fogger with a hospital grade sanitizing solution. This machine allows us to thoroughly disinfect all of the machines and other equipment more effectively ensuring safety.
What the regulations say: Check your temperature.
What B5 is doing about it: Upon entering the facility we require both staff and clients to have their temperature taken with our touch-less thermometer. We also stress the practice of, if you’re feeling under the weather and/or have a temperature please stay home.
